Here's a fun talk I did at the Amelia Island Museum of History in December 2021. On the Spanish American Pirates and Privateers who invaded the island in 1817.
My appearance on the History Author Show hosted by Dean Karayanis talking about the Newburgh Conspiracy and my book A Crisis of Peace.
My 2016 talk, "Slave Smuggling Privateers in the Spanish Borderlands: Geopolitics and the Illegal Slave Trade," given at Friends of the Cabildo Symposium held at the Old U.S. Mint, New Orleans. It's a little dark, but that just helps the smuggling mood.
